SF Story
So last night my sneaky, manipulative mother is like, "Charlie, how would you like to ride with us to San Francisco tomorrow? While we get flowers for the wedding, you can go walk around the city and go shopping? We’re leaving at 8:30." I was like, damn, that’s early, but I said okay. Then I thought about traffic and wondered why they would drive to the city during rush hour. Then I remembered a California phenomenon: the car-pool lane. Then I realized why the bitch wanted me to come along: to make the minimum three passengers to travel in the car-pool lane allowing them to avoid traffic and to go across the bridge for free. I told her that I’d figured it out and she gave me her evil cackle. Then I told her she’d have to give me money to get me to go along and she said okay so I couldn’t really say anything else. Although I did give her some helpful driving tips along the way since she can’t drive for shit and every ride with her could be my last. We actually drove in a rental car because she crashed her Toyota the night before last.
Yay! Tia and Tamara are flying to Chicago to see Boyz II Men! Gabrielle Union came on (oh no! don’t buy tickets from a scalper! silly twins!) yesterday’s episode, and she showed definite star quality. She was among a group of girls. Even though she didn’t have more lines or a more interesting character than the other girls, her charisma and talent stood out, and I have no doubt that casting agents all over Hollywood saw that and decided to immediately get her off "Sister, Sister" and on "Friends," "Bring it On" and that movie with LL Cool J. I called my sister to come in and check out her raw talent way back when, but she didn’t find it so exciting. I can’t remember what snide comment she had about Gabrielle, but it’s surely not worth repeating. Ooh! Today’s episode has Pee Wee’s fat best friend!
